We absolutely loved the 282 for the size and speed. Plus twins are easy to park, and sound mean underway. But the conditions were right to sell , and go after the model, and combo I have wanted for a long time.
As I placed my used boat Cobalt 272 order last September
, I had no idea that searching for a certain combos would be this difficult. I have traveled (flown) thousands of miles, and on the 4th attempt I finally found the "One" thanks to the Core here. She is a 2008 272 with a 496HO, Swept back 1.81 ratio Bravo3-X drive 24P props, Corsa exhaust. (325 hours). She was nicely kept by a Meticulous owner, and recently upgraded with new sea grass carpeting.
Although the water last weekend was treacherous with Hyacinth debris ( yes the Delta is a swamp this time of year ) for full speed runs, she did cruise nicely at 42mph @ 3300 rpm . ( ill give a full performance captains report later. )
The only option missing I like is trim tabs, which I will add this winter. The name Change ( USCG documented ) is underway, and that ceremony is planned for her spring awakening as well !!
