new order - delivery estimates
Re: new order - delivery estimates
Hello all!
Captain I have to tell you I was surprised at how large the boat appeared on the trailer! I didn’t get an exact measurement but the boat and the trailer was 35 feet long give or take 6 to 12 inches.
The height on trailer was all of 13 feet if not 6 inches more. We were doing estimates with the tape measure quickly.
The boat is exactly what we wanted. I have some more pictures attached. I know it will be smaller when it gets in the water but man it look huge!! We are very happy and can’t wait to get it completed. With that said does anybody have an opinion on the ceramic coating?

Hey Garttx
Great looking boat. We have an R6 on order with in bayside blue as well. Is your canvas color taupe? That is what we selected.

It looks like they rounded all of the stainless trim. I thought at first it was all sharp edges? That was one of Sailor's biggest gripes.

Gorgeous boat! That's what I figured on the length. I asked Melanie at Lakeshore about ceramic coating when I ordered mine. She said that they have someone (not part of Lakeshore) that can do that. Apparently the ceramic coating used on boats is different than what is used on automobiles. At least that is what the guy who ceramic coated one of my cars told me. When you get it in the water please take pics and post them!

The canvas top is "shale"...... don't know that that means except it is a lighter gray. At first it looked dark in the pictures but in person it looks great. Very pleased.....

Re: new order - delivery estimates
I ordered my R4 in October, spoke to the regional sales manager at a factory test drive event in Florida last week. He said mine will get scheduled soon for a February start date, march delivery to my dealer. He said not much more than 2 weeks start to finish if they have all the parts. As long as its before June Im happy!

Yes I want some garage boating time too. LOLSoonerfan wrote: Thu Sep 30, 2021 1:03 pm I just got a message from my dealer on my 22 R8S. It was originally slated for a December/January build time frame. They informed me if I wanted the could move up the build to the next 30-45 days. Of course I eagerly said yes as that would give me some additional garage boating time!

I think our boats are roommates. My ebony with red stripe R8 just came in the other day and I just had it ceramic coated. I will pick up next week since it is supposed to rain tomorrow.

That is awesome! We are picking ours up on Thursday! Your boat looks great and Lakeshore has been wonderful to work with. Let us know how it goes! We had the ceramic done as well. Very excited to finally get it !
