I’m looking for a trailer for an A25 - anyone know if anything out there? A new Loadmaster or Pacific aluminum are considerations, but not inexpensive. I don’t NEED new, so… if anyone has anything that might fit the bill, please let me know.

Unless you find an adjustable bunk trailer that won’t rest on the hull chines , and reach the transom for support it’s best order a hull specific trailer. A25 is unique.
Your A25 will thank you when bouncing down the road , and your resale value will outweigh what you saved.

Order a Loadmaster and forget about it! You will thank yourself later! Stay away from aluminum unless you are in salt water and really need aluminum.CobaltVet wrote: Tue Nov 30, 2021 9:26 pm I’m looking for a trailer for an A25 - anyone know if anything out there? Snowman, why do you dislike aluminum so much? Have you had negative experiences? I would think a well built aluminum trailer would be just as good as steel? What am I missing?
I’ve been in touch with loadmaster and they have excellent (not yet) customer service. Their product is clearly quality.
Thoughts on loadmaster‘s electric drum brakes? I was leaning eoh disc brakes, but that makes an already pricey loadmaster even more. I get it, you get what you pay for, but…

Re: Trailer for A25
I would go electric over hydraulic disc brakes. That's what I have on my boat trailer and I am going to be converting the electric drum brakes on my travel trailer to the same this year. They are that much better.CobaltVet wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:59 am Thoughts on loadmaster‘s electric drum brakes? It’s not that I don’t like aluminum, I have an aluminum enclosed snowmobile trailer. I have also broken a couple aluminum snowmobile trailers... tore the tongue right off one, broke the frame on another but I keep buying them because the steel ones rust away in the MN salty roads. I work in road construction and everything we haul is extremely heavy and usually overloaded and aluminum trailers will break long before steel will. I have also seen aluminum trailers float, yes I said float. My cousin had a tandem axle trailer for a 270 SeaRat with 16” tires and large wooden bunks and it would actually float up, a real pain when trying to get the boat on in current on a river! My dealer also had a triple axel aluminum trailer that would float.CobaltVet wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:59 am Snowman, why do you dislike aluminum so much? Have you had negative experiences? As Bruce said EOH brakes are probably better but there is nothing wrong with regular electric brakes either, we have at least 10 skid loader trailers with regular electric brakes and they just work. They are also simple and cheap to fix. I didn’t upgrade to EOH on my Loadmaster trailer because I like the simplicity of the regular electric brakes. I also didn’t upgrade to torsion axels for the same reason.
You might think Loadmaster is expensive but I ended up buying one after I bought an EZLoader trailer that I thought would be good enough. I learned my lesson. The EZLoader looked good with cool backlit lettering and all but it was the biggest piece of junk I have ever loaded a boat on. My R5 was terrible to try to get centered, if I was off by an inch the hull would set down on a fender and start to crush the fender. The boat would never self center and I tried everything to get it to self center. The wiring was atrocious, constantly causing shorts and blowing fuses or breakers in the pickup. It was only rated for about 300lbs more than the boat weighed also.
I can’t say anything bad about my Loadmaster at all! My wife also loves it!
