Oil Change

Post by ericpeterson »

I expect this has been addressed elsewhere, but I can't find it anywhere on this forum.

Wondering if anybody can recommend an electric/battery powered pump to extract oil from the crankcase. I have a hand pump, but I'm getting older each year.

I've used this for years and it was cheap. I made my own set up to use on the dipstick to get the oil out

Thanks, BBP. What do you mean by making your own set up? Does the tubing it comes with not fit in the dipstick tube?

The dipstick has a screw on top for this type of work instead of going down the center of the tube. So I just cut 1 end off of a washing machine hose. Then bam and it works!

Got it. Thanks! I'm going to try that.
