Hi All, I'm considering a 2016 with a V8-430CE and have a few questions. FWIW, I'm coming from a Merc 496 HO and Bravo3, love both.
General reliability insights would be helpful - engine and sterndrive. How does the reliability and longevity compare to the 8.1?
Any issues with plugs fouling being direct injection?
Do all V8-430CE have the Easy Drain System? I would assume yes but all the documentation I found is from 2017+.
Performance characteristics. I hear the direct injection and VVT actually get boats up faster than 8.1 HO?
Thanks for the help!

I don't think the Easy Drain System was available until 2017 models. I think some early 2017 models don't have it.
I use it and like it.

The biggest thing I have noticed going from a big block to the new VP 5.3 is cruise RPM. When cruising about 30mph the engine RPM is about 1000 higher, which is no problem for the 5.3, but just seems like i'm ringing it out. The BB will also have more low end power

Thank you. I was also able to confirm the '16 is the 6.0: vs the newer 6.2.
Does anyone have experience with draining the heat exchanger and raw water pump on the 6.0, and are there other drain points?
