Good question. Yes.... I am pretty sure that this required a different transducer, but I don't know which one they used.

Dealer added a transom mount ClearVu transducer. See photo. You can also see one of the two U/W lights installed by dealer.

I make boat covers and I used to tow with mine on all the time. I stopped doing it awhile ago. I am not really worried about the boat as much as the life of the cover.
Do you make covers for a living or just have the know how. You continue to impress!

Just on my own.

My mom taught me how to sew and she used to make boat covers for people. I picked it up and bought my own commercial sewing machine.

Here is the cover I made for my pontoon boat.

Now that you've gone through a season with your 743 Garmins, do you wish you ordered the bigger ones?

Just put a deposit on a R6 and didn't go with the big screens and now I'm worried I'll regret it.

I am in the same situation, buying a boat that is in stock but has the smaller screens. Does anyone know if at some point they can be swapped out? It looks like the dashpanel is specifically molded for the screen size so that would probably have to be replaced with it. I have asked my dealer but they have not gotten back to me yet.
