Six Months Early

Post by Grand Lake Bum »

Got a call from my salesman today. His regional Cobalt rep called with a build slot for an R30 with a delivery in July/August. Previously I had build slot with a November delivery date. It will be a 2022 instead of a 2023 but we will be able to enjoy the boat for a big part of the 2022 boating season. Now the tough decisions on how to option the boat. Not sure how this ended up happening but I will take it. Anyone see a downside to taking the earlier build slot?

Great news! Congratulations now get on it quick!

2022 vs 2023 isn’t a big deal IMO. Enjoy your boat! I hope to see you cruising around this summer.

Yes, not much time to mess around. Interestingly, because I am waiting on a dock to be built I will keeping the new boat in what I believe will be the same slip that you were in for a bit. They have agreed to let me keep her there until the dock is finished. I look forward to seeing you out on the water as well. Promises to be a fun summer if the rains will ever stop so that the lake can get back to normal. Should be an interesting Memorial Day Weekend with the rising water. Enjoy and be safe!

Sounds like good news. Plus, a 2022 will probably be 10% cheaper than a 2023 the way things are going :/

Great to hear. The guys at Arrowhead (Stefan and Brian) really took care of us for those couple months. The boat is finally settled over on C dock at CYC. Finally got the lift and autocover so it’s been super convenient.

I named her Revenge in honor of my dad and his love of Grand and boating. He had a Cobalt named Revenge, as in “living well is the best”. If you see Revenge around, just yell real loud!

Good luck on the dock and I look forward to hearing more updates on your build.

Will be on the look out for Revenge this summer. I have several good friends over on C dock and so may see you there as well. Glad to hear that the Arrowhead guys took care of you. I have always had good experiences with that crew. Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you!

Yes, with any luck, as prices continue to climb.
