What is this thing?

Coming in from a normal boat ride, my son found this on the floor under the helm. I can't see anything under the dash that could conceivably be missing this piece.

The piece is 34" long including the spring, and 5/8" wide. Boat is a 2021 R30.

Of course it's possible it didn't come from the boat, but it's not like we carry lots of other equipment on the lake!

Is looks like a thing a m'jig. But seriously, if it's not yours then it likely fell out from under the dash. I would send a picture of it to Brian at Arrowhead service and see what he thinks.

Thanks Grand Lake Bum! Everything works as expected and I didn’t see anything under the dash. But I wouldn’t know what to look for anyway! I appreciate the idea of calling Arrowhead and will report back.

I hope you’re enjoying Grand. It’s been hot lately but the lake is the perfect temp right now. But not too many more weekends left in summer.
