New member with a story…

Post by Acercpilot »

It started during Covid and my wife wanting to get out of the house. Every week we would head out to some lake around Kansas City with a picnic lunch. One week she casually mentioned that it would be nice to be out on the water in a boat. “Say no more”, within a month we owned a new to us Sea Ray 240 Sundeck. Next came a new F150 Limited to tow it with and finally a Condo on Lake of the Ozarks with a slip and 12,000 lb lift so we didn’t need to haul the boat to a lake. After a bit of plowing around in the Sea Ray we realized that our little Sundeck was too small for those waters and it was “Say no more” all over again. I just ordered an R30 with the twin 350 VPs. No pictures yet but here are the specs:

Colors Interior-Caramel/carbon
Colors Ext-Boot stripe Rich Ebony
Colors Ext-Hull Side Pacific Blue
Twin Volvo Penta V8-350 CE DPS
Stainless Steel/Aluminum Arch with Hardtop and White arch Legs
Volvo Joystick Piloting
Glass Cockpit with 12” Screens
Windlass
Head with Vacuflush
Premium Sound with. Transom Speakers
Sea Grass Floor Covering
Trim Tabs
Mooring Cover
Docking Lights
Transom Lights
RGB LED Lights
Dinette Table
Sof-Trac Mat (Swim Platform)
Color Accented Hard Top Headliner
Flagpole with Flag
Battery Maintainer/Charger, 110v

If anyone has any ideas on something I’ve missed let’s hear them.

Welcome...

You will probably want to order a golf cart now for the trip from the condo to the dock.

Welcome.
I saw the first line and got excited for a moment, thinking there would be a new member near me. Then as I read on, I quickly realized you're not going to go to a lake "near" KC (at least not in my definition of near = 60 miles) with that R30, so it's another potential loss of meeting a fellow forum member. LOL.

Glad to have you aboard. There are a lot of great folks here that can answer almost any question you may have. Can't wait to see pictures of the new boat when it arrives. And throw in some of the LOTO lake condo too.

Thanks but we look down on our boat from our condo and it’s a very short walk to jump on our boat.

Thanks for the welcome. The LOTO condo is very cool and our slip and lift are waiting for the new boat to arrive. I’ll be sure to post lots of pics when the boat arrives and I do have lots of the condo but my wife and I just started a 5 week road trip so we have to wait for us to get back home.

Are you full time at the lake? My wife and I are on a 5 week road trip and get back at the end of March. My boat should be delivered in June. We split time between LOTO and Kansas City. But your idea sounds good.
