R7 Stereo help

Post by WATERHOG »

Hey All
My 2014 R7 has the upgraded stereo and sounds great but I can't find the head unit. I have the 2 amps in the front storage and the dash unit ( Rockford Fosgate) looks like a remote and not the whole head unit. Seems to me there is a unit somewhere.

My problem is when I hit waves the system cracks and makes it sound like the boat is coming apart. I don't know what to do other than look for loose wires. Any suggestions?

I looked all over for the same on my R5, another R5 owner pointed me to the head. There is a square panel that you can remove to access the area behind the small portside glove box - my RXF 5000 unit was mounted in there. As a side note reason I was looking for it, is the bluetooth was not working, found the dongle in there not hooked up properly. Can't say the R7 is the same, but worth a look.
