Fuel level question 2015 220

Got a chance to take the boat out this weekend and having issue with the fuel gauge. I put about 4 gallons of fuel in (on the water) and it seemed full (pump on my gas can cut off) but the fuel gauge shows close to E and the digital gauge showed R 1.2 and L 0. I'm guessing that there may be a fuel sender issue or the gauge. Any thoughts.

I had a 2012 220 that would cut off the gas pump during refueling. I had to fill the tank slowly. It may have been an issue with the required changes to the fuel vent line. There were some (EPA?) required changes made to gasoline boat fuel systems starting with model year 2013 and they were designed to reduce the likelihood of a fuel spill.

I'm guessing in one of your storage compartments under a treat seat in the middle in frt of your engine area. It will have a removable cover over it.
