MEMBER DISCOUNT: Creativeaudio.net special pricing for Cobalt Chat members

Post by jhnmdahl »

Creativeaudio.net has offered to provide special, discounted pricing for Cobaltchat members. They are a well-respected retailer of premier brands such as JL Audio, Wet Sounds, Fusion, Focal, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, and others, and pride themselves on competitive pricing and stellar service. The forum doesn't get a kickback (i.e., they are not a paying sponsor), so your pricing should be as good as you can find anywhere.

Because Creativeaudio.net has minimum advertised pricing and other constraints with some of their premier brands, a simple discount code or discounted price sheet won't work for everything. Creative Audio also wishes to have the chance to work with customers when they can help, ensuring that each customer has found the best products to complete their projects. Users therefore need to email Creativeaudio.net to take advantage of the discount as follows:

Email info@creativeaudio.net, with "Cobalt Chat" somewhere in the subject line, along with a list of the items you're looking to purchase, and they will set you up with a link to an invoice that has special pricing. If you already have an account/cart set up there, be sure to mention that in your email and they will modify your account/cart to reflect the discount (as well as the email address for your account if different from the one you're using to send the email). Our contact there is James Taylor, and he is more than happy to help you pick the perfect parts to complete your project.

And finally, please post your project threads here for all to see, and to learn from!

A quick post regarding Creative Audio's JL speaker blowout - they're getting rid of the now-replaced M and MX line speakers at a steep discount:

https://creativeaudio.net/categories/sa ... owout.html

Note the M series works particularly well with a separate amplifier, and most reviews say they sound the same as the new M6 series (the M3 series is similar to the older MX line). In short, these are bargains, and shouldn't last long.

I'm happy to say that I worked with James on my new setup. He was happy to work within my budget, and has given me good install feedback along the way. Thanks for pointing out Creative Audio!

Head Unit, Amp and Sub all from Creative Audio this summer. Great website and excellent deals. I noticed they also sell factory refurbished items at a discount if someone is looking for additional savings.

Installed this sub myself. Not gonna lie, a little nervous cutting into the boat.

Just bumping this to the top.

I've used this discount a number of times now.

Thank you Cobaltchat, thank you James Taylor, and thank you Creative Audio.

I had a pretty good system before, but it's going to be much better now I think.

Curious on everyone’s thoughts on the “premium stereo” on the CS23. I’m ordering my boat this week and wish that Cobalt would allow the platinum stereo to be ordered on the Gateway Series Boats, but they don’t. I ordered the premium (no tower so no tower speakers) and am wondering if it’ll live up to what I’m hoping for. Thanks.

I think any of the packages with standalone amplifiers will probably stand well on their own against most things on the market, but the systems with only a head unit for an amplifier for the main speakers will benefit from an upgrade. Typically involves new power cables for the new amps, new speaker wire that’s a bit heavier than the factory wiring, and maybe speakers depending on what the boat originally came with,

I love the JL Audio and the Roswell speakers, but I’m not a wakeboard Ed and don’t have tower speakers - many prefer Wet Sounds there.

I used this yesterday and received a good discount on items that were already on sale. Thanks for the heads up! :-)

I need to give a customer service shout-out to CreativeAudio and James Taylor. I reached out to them about upgrading from the Sony head unit and remote in my boat, and ended up ordering a Rockford Fosgate PMX-5CAN and 1R. The first head unit I received was dead, and the second one had a bad USB port. Creative Audio took them both back on their own dime right away.

After talking with Rockford Fosgate a bit and then James at Creative Audio about how I use the sound system in my boat, James suggested Fusion may be a better fit (supports more than 999 songs on a 32GB thumb drive, etc). He sent the new items to me while I shipped the Rockford Fosgate unit with the bad USB back, and covered a gap in price between credit I had with them and the price of the new Rockford Fosgate units (when was the last time a company did something like that!?).

I've worked with many companies who chase the lowest price possible, and many companies that have really great customer service, but rarely a company that can do both so well. Thanks again to Creative Audio!

Okay, I started with the intent to simply replace the six oem Sony 6.5" dual cone speakers in my 2005 263...isn't that the way it always starts? I just finished replacing those with six Kicker 654 6.5" coaxials, and it did have better sound than the dual cone Sony's...but all it takes is a spark and suddenly it's an out of control fire. Placed an order with James today for:

HEAD UNIT
Fusion MS-RA770

AMPLIFIER
Kicker KXMA900.5
Kicker KMPK4 4-AWG Amplifier Wiring Kit

SUBWOOFER
Kicker KMF122 12" 2-Ohm Subwoofer
Kicker KMG12W White 12" LED Grille

ACCESSORIES
Fusion MS-ERX400 Wired Remote - Helm
Fusion ARX70W ANT Wireless Remote, White - Transom
Sirius XM Tuner SXV300V1

So much for a simple speaker upgrade.

James was VERY responsive and helpful with my questions, and the pricing matched the best I could find on my own (mostly due to the fact that I was price checking with Creative Audio's ebay store and received discounted offers there). So far, I'm very happy that I went with James and Creative Audio. My thanks to the forum for bringing them in!
