Hello,
Looking for SeaDek color suggestions. 02 246, exterior is black and white, interior is white and this brown/gray. Current carpet is Gray. Does anyone have Black SeaDek flooring? My initial thought is way too hot, but the rep says it's warm but not hot. Find this hard to believe. I have a larger sample piece of Black that I'm going to sit out in the sun to see how hot it may actually get, but this may not be the same as 90-100 deg summer days on the lake. Does anyone have my color interior in their Cobalt and if so, can you post some pics of your SeaDek flooring if you have it? Right now, we are looking at (Smoke gray, Storm Gray, MoonRock & Terra) Terra and Micha might actually be closer to the color of the interior, but I haven't had a chance to put the samples up against the upholstery in the boat. Any suggestions or pictures of what you have is much appreciated.

Re: Flooring Color Suggestions
SeaDek doesn't really hold heat very well, so even in the sun it doesn't feel as hot as some other materials. That said, I'd still shy away from a black floor for both heat (it will still radiate heat into the cabin, and will of course be the warmest under foot) as well as general appearance factors. I don't think I'd want the floor being one of the first things your eye was drawn to in my boat - I'd try to complement the rest of the boat, but not have it be the darkest, brightest, etc. thing in the boat.

The gray carpet seems to go well with your interior. I’m with jhn in that I wouldn’t want the floor to necessarily be the first thing someone noticed. Regardless, I think black will get hot and honestly don’t think it would look very good (my opinion only). If it were mine, I’d go with Storm Gray!

Thanks everyone, pretty sure I'm out on black. On the two pictures I posted of the interior. The one I'm pretty sure has a filter on it and makes everything look a lot more Gray. The one of the stern and swim platform is more of the natural color of that light brown. Really hoping someone on here has some pictures of their similar interior with the flooring.

We just put this (Marine Mat Toffee), I think your brown may be lighter than ours. They have a Terra color that might be closer. The product is really nice and quite a bit less than Sea Dek.

Jmad - I had marine mat in my Rinker and no issues other than it was somewhat stain prone (Kids). I'm getting quotes from them as well. How do you like the glue down? I had the snap in in my Rinker and thinking about putting the glue down in the Cobalt.jmad78 wrote: Tue Sep 12, 2023 12:08 pm We just put this (Marine Mat Toffee), I think your brown may be lighter than ours. So far so good! I installed it 9-1 and let it sit for 24 hours. We've used/abused it 3 times since and no issues with edges coming up. The only downside I can note, is the installation time. It's very easy and straight forward, however, it takes time. All in, it took me appx 4 hours. Similar to measure twice and cut once approach...
