Trim function Ground Problem?

Post by TheFargoCobalt »

I have a 2004 200 Bowrider and the trim has now stopped working due to an error on my part reattaching the throttle/control arm and pinching the green trim wire.

I have spliced the green wire back together but cannot seem to get the trim to operate again.
Is there a inline fuse or fuse under dash somewhere I could have grounded out?

I checked the engine fuse box and nothing inside that box is burnt out, let alone assigned to anything remotely close to trim function. I have seen posts about a 20 amp fuse that controls the trim function but have no idea where this would be located. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no clicking on the hydraulic pump relays when initiating the trim control, nothing happens at all with trim now.

Well after a bunch of poking around in the engine bay, I found right in back of the Volvo hydraulic motor a latched plug with a BROKEN 10 AMP fuse.
After replacing and crimping my green trim wire everything is working as expected.

Thought I would leave this here if anyone is looking for a trim control fuse, it will be in back of your volvo hydraulic motor behind the relays.
Cheers
