Wake surfing on a older 272

I’ve got a 2005 272 with the tower. We’ve been wakeboarding for years but I’m curious is it’s possible (and safe) to surf behind this boat. I’ve read that it is and that it’s not…what’s the truth of the matter?

It is not safe. WAY to close to the prop.
