Second Battery

I have a 2022 220. It has a single battery with charger. Thinking of putting in a second battery.
Thoughts? Pluses and minuses?

I'm a fan. My R5 has two batteries and my SeaRays did also. Gives a piece of mind knowing you can't run your battery down and not be able to start the engine after being anchored for an afternoon. Also gives a backup when one battery starts to go bad. I would put in a Blue Sea automatic charging relay if you don't already have one -- not sure how Cobalt configures a boat with a single battery.

All my boats always had/have two batteries. Make sure you also install an ACR also so you don't have to do the battery switching game to keep both charged.
