Sorry for the long winded post but you just can't make this stuff up. During the 4th of July week I had some interesting trouble with my 2015 A25 w/380. I am not sure if these are all related. The boat has been to the dealer and I will post what they said. Here we go:
- I was putting the boat back on the lift and all of a sudden I had an alarm go off and the power was reduced. The only thing on the bottom of the gauge was "check engine". I turned the boat off and started to do "normal" checks. The only issue I found was low drive fluid. Fun to check on the lift. I added some fluid and figured I would just keep an eye on it.
- Took the boat out the next day and after about 20 minutes of running I get the alarm going off, check engine on the gauge and back in Guardian mode. Limped the boat back to a close marina and had someone pick up my passengers. I was getting a beep every 60 seconds. I do not have the Ocean X drive. After some discussion with folks at the dock, I drove the boat back to my home marina with no issues. No alarms, nothing. Checked the drive fluid which was low and then started seeing fluid in the bilge. Called the dealer and scheduled an appointment. After getting the boat on a trailer I loosened the U joint bellow and out came drive fluid so I assumed a bad seal.
- Dealer said the seal was bad around the drive shaft so they fixed that issue.
- When the dealer scanned the boat they said I had an alarm for low voltage and shift position sensor. Both codes show at the same time. The tech believes the low voltage caused the shift actuator alarm.
My concern is why did the boat go into Guardian mode in the first place? The manual says that basically oil pressure or overheat would cause the engine to go to Guardian mode. The impeller is new, temp was 158, oil pressure was fine, 36psi at idle and the gauges didn't display an error. A couple of years ago I did lose an impeller and the small display said "overheat" so I know there are messages it can display. There is very little documentation I can find on the Guardian mode. I am not sure if all of these issues are related or I am just paranoid. The dealer did run the boat for a while after they completed the work and said everything was fine. They had no idea what might have caused the low voltage. They are a reputable shop so I am not concerned with shoddy work. Their advice was to just run the boat.
I am hoping someone will have more information on the alarms and Guardian mode so I will feel a little more comfortable running the boat.

Re: A25 Alarm and Guardian Mode
Doesn't the A25 with V8-380 have an outdrive fluid level sensor that will trigger an alarm/reduce power? I have a smaller boat and engine and am not that familiar with yours, but I believe I've read that it can happen.
It also should have thrown a code if it went into limp mode, so it may be worth investigating the codes that were found more. Unfortunately the Rinda tool is fairly expensive, but scanning for codes the next time it happens (if it does recur) is probably your best bet. Low voltage could be any of a huge number of things, but making sure battery is in good shape (load tester), connections are tight, etc., is an easy place to start.
