Cobalt Gauge Repair Shops

Post by Meyerld01 »

Hello are there any recommendations for shops that service the Gauges? I have a 2013 276 model whose speedometer works fine but the plastic lens is toast and needs to be replaced. a new speedo is over $600 bucks.

Try these folks - I've never used them personally, but have heard good things from people who have from over on ClubSeaRay (yes I am a long time SeaRay owner converted to Cobalt!)

Man, I get why so many people are putting small GPS screens in the dashes of older boats. $600 is crazy.

I am going to try these guys to restore the LCDs in my A25 gauges in the spring myself.

Is it a Faria gauge? Have you tried reaching out. They re-built my tach a few years back. In my case they just replaced the innards and reused the lens and bezel.

Hello thanks all. Not Farias. I ended up using a car headlight cleaning kit..the ones that make a faded headlight like new again. The result is not perfect but much better and I am satisfied with it.

So I actually did send my A25 gauges in to GaugeSaver about 2 months ago because the LCDs are fading. GaugeSavers said that the actual LCD panels are fine but the driver ICs are dying and they can't fix that. They adjusted the contrast a bit, didn't charge me, and shipped 'em back to me.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

No idea what I am going to do when the LCD panels finally die, given that important things like the fuel level are only accessible through them.
