That does indeed sound very encouraging. Promises are one thing; corrective action is quite another. But sounds like they are committed to fixing your issues and that's a great start. Hoping for the best!

Thank you. Of course, right after they agreed to come down, I received the attached certified letter from Cobalt. What else are they going to get wrong?

COBALT B O AT S

Recall Notice - MY25 Cobalt A29 a n d Select R-Series - Blower Orientation
Dear Valued Cobalt Owner,
Cobalt Boats continually strives to produce reliable, high-quality boats. However, we
occasionally discover that we've fallen short of our industry-leading quality standards— this
letter is to inform you of such an occurrence. Specifically, we have become aware that a number
of Model Year 2025 Cobalt boats (A29 and select R-Series models) were potentially
manufactured with one or more blower motors improperly oriented.
Your boat's blowers, designed to help circulate air through the bilge area and remove any
flammable gasoline vapors, are vital safety components of your boat and should always be run
for at least four (4) minutes before starting the boat. However, if one or more blowers are not
oriented correctly, it is possible that running the blowers) may not provide enough air
circulation to remove all vapors from the bilge area.
You are receiving this letter because a Model Year 2025 Cobalt R-Series or A29 boat you
purchased has been identified as having a potential issue due to improperly oriented
blower motors).
Please be aware that continued operation of the boat may lead to insufficient air circulation in the
bilge area, which could, in turn, result in a dangerous build-up of flammable gasoline vapors that
could pose a danger to you and/or your passengers aboard the boat. Please DO NOT operate the
boat until the blower motors have been inspected and, if necessary, re-oriented
We recognize that resolving this issue may inconvenience you, and for this we do apologize.
However, it is imperative that you DO NOT operate your boat until it has been inspected. Please
schedule an appointment with your authorized Cobalt dealer as soon as possible to have this
issue corrected.
Your Cobalt dealer has already been notified of the issue. Labor will be provided at no charge to
you.
Questions?
If you have any questions, please contact your dealer directly. If they are unable to answer your
question(s), please feel free to contact Cobalt Boats Customer Service at 800-468-5764.
Cobalt Boats and your local Cobalt dealer are committed to ensuring the satisfaction and safety
of you and your passengers. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Cobalt Boats
