One month later....

LOL.

Hey can you give me the name and number of your dealer that did the install? My dealer here said they aren't set up to add the windlass...but being near Vonore, TN there are lots of skilled boat/fiberglass repair shops. But I'd like to ask the dealer you used about part numbers to be complete kit.

Pictures! You will really enjoy having it, a must have for me after years of lugging in anchors on my old SeaRay. Might want to add that switch in the locker, that's the one I use almost always especially when retrieving. As far as the chain, I think I have 100ft, but I rarely anchor in more than 20ft of water, and for a few hours can calm conditions, 3-1 scope is plenty. Put some zip ties on the chain to mark length and rig up a snubber - you will thank me on the snubber. Mine is simple, 4ft of 3 strand with a loop in each end - loop it around the chain and use the cleat in the locker and put some slack in the chain - takes the strain off the windlass and keeps things quit without the chain pulling around on the anchor roller.

Congratulations.

Hopefully, they added a quick release where the end of the chain is attached.

I refuse to believe this actually happened until pictures are provided.

Think about it, you spent a large sum of money and time doing something very unique and cool to your boat. The first thing anyone would do is post up pictures showing off and bragging about their accomplishment.

No pics. It never happened.

Not a Cobalt, but thought this video was a nice demonstration of the basic steps of adding a windlass

It's sad really. I had the oscillating tool down at the lake last weekend. Told Katie I could just make a few cuts follow the instructions posted here and we would be good.

Never happened.

Guess I will just continue to pull the anchor up by hand like a commoner. Sad.
