I've got to believe that this moron is just pulling a prank. He went to great lengths to try and show that no one else was in the boat. Still, a dumb prank, and should lose a finger for it.

Driller wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2017 7:38 am Internet pic. I was just thinking about buying some more Apple stock this week.

iPhone 8, iCar, etc.

Apple stuff just works. Easy to use, and the comms between all the devices is first class. My laptop, desktop, and phone all sync. Take a photo, it's on the desktop.

Samsung makes a good phone, but the sharing is limited.
Agree. I build custom individual equity portfolios for people. IMO Apple is a company everyone should own in their portfolio. Facebook as well. Doesn't mean you have to use or like either but there is no denying the build quality of Apple or their ecosphere of products that actually "work" and "work together". No one else competes in this space. Their service business alone would be a fortune 100 company. Oh, they also have a quarter of a trillion dollars in cash.

I have only recently started using Facebook for business purposes. I never look at it otherwise. I also believe everyone should own this. Over 1 billion captive active daily users... now where do i put the disclosure here.

IMHO

I agree with the Facebook stock.
Apple? The stuff is great today, but how about in 5 years? Will we see another "newton' style flop from the new regime, and no real ground breaking, must have inventions like the NEED to keep producing?
That's the big question mark, what do you think will happen Liquid?

We still use print, and a little radio. Print is still viable, but will be a joke in about 10 years. Radio? I think it'll still be around for years to come.
But...IMO, I absolutely think our best bang for the buck is Facebook.
Key is this..We've been building our "like" numbers, and it's the same as building a newspaper route. We can appear on a followers FB, and be seen several times a day from those poor FB addicted souls. It's the perfect avenue to reach our customers, and new customers along with reviews to sell the image. We also time out ads, and boost them in peak selling times.
I'm an absolute believer Facebook will be the advertiser of choice for local retail in the future.
Im witchoo here Liquid. I'm going to buy some.
Totally agree with your assessment of FB and advertising there. I've seen your page and meant to PM you about how impressive it is. Not from a " check out my awesome ribeyes" standpoint but from the quality of work culture evident in the pictures and reviews. You've created something genuine, something you, your wife and staff clearly take pride in - and this medium used correctly portrays that in a way that Tv, print and radio can't. I've worked in television and radio advertising on both those mediums- they're not done, need to take a breather to let how people absorb information progress.

As far as Apple goes. The ecosphere I described can not be duplicated. Nothing works in conjunction the way their stuff works. I control my entire house with apple products. I've been a mac user forever. iPad. Apple TV. Finally got the iPhone 7 because I was tired of my phone not communicating without some bs plug in. Thermostat. Door locks. All on my phone. It all works seamlessly.

In the future? Maybe we don't see 30% growth yr over yr anymore but would you take 10 consistently? What happens when apple repatriates that cash? Cloud? Tv? Car? Watch? Services? The iTunes Store makes a lot of money. Googles equivalent? Not much.

Apple is an easy buy and hold stock. PM me, I'm not allowed to give what could be construed as advice on any public forum but would be glad to privately.

I also plan on visiting Tuscany fresh with the family soon.

Ps - I liked your page

Thanks for your input, liquid...maybe I'll rethink my Apple stock position. Just so disappointed in them from what they were when Jobs was at the helm. Most likely my own personal rebellion against them.

....and great insight on Tuscany's site. +1!

Update. I have come up with what I think is a great solution. I was going to upgrade my head unit to get Bluetooth, but I have found that there are a lot of manufactures that make a 30 pin connector to Bluetooth gizmo. It charges thru the cradle and let's a phone connect and play music thru Bluetooth to the head unit. They're cheap to $5 - $30. Some of them will control the phone. So in theory, I can connect with Bluetooth and shuffle / select tracks with the helm or transom remote. I'm gonna give this a try.

OK, changing my mind. I'm going with this baby which will hook into the RCA AUX inputs on my MB Quart head unit. Reviews are great, syncs automatically, and will control the phone thru the boats remote from the helm or transom. A little more cost, but the reviews are excellent and there is no "push to sync" button. All auto.

Bet against AAPL and you're going to lose in the long run. Their stuff just works and works and works, and it all plays well together.
