What is this?

Need help identifying this - what I believe is some type of sensor- possibly sea water temp.
There are two of these mounted on the bottom of the DPSM outdrive. Need to replace one of them as the single electrical wire going to it is totally corroded
2006 262 with 8.1 Volvo Penta DPSM Drive

So glad you found us cp1…

Tough to know without pics but it sounds like you may be referring to the trim senders on each side of the VP duo prop outdrive.
They send an electrical signal to the trim gauge.
