Cobalt 373 Question
Hello all. New to this forum. I currently own a 2010 Formula 350SS and looking to possibly upgrade to a Cobalt 373. I was wondering if anyone has one in the NY metro area that I could ask some general questions. Also does anyone know the total production numbers of this model. It looks like they were only made from 2010 to 2014. Looking for an express cruiser 35' minimum with a cabin for overnight stays on Fire Island. It looks like Cobalt loves manufacturing bow riders but I need a cabin.
thanks again - Joe

Re: Cobalt 373 Question
The 373 wasn't a big numbers boat, but was made earlier than 2010 (maybe 2008 or so)? Its successor, the A40, may also be interesting.
Edit - Cobalt also made the 37 and the 46, bigger boats that don't follow their normal naming conventions and weren't made for long either. I suspect the 37 and the 373 may in fact be the same boat.

Re: Cobalt 373 Question
Its crazy how the 373 looks like it has such a larger cabin than the A40. The A40 is a great looking boat but I think the 373 has much more usable space in the cabin. I wish there was somebody that has a 373 that I could go on and look at. Tough when there are so few around.

Re: Cobalt 373 Question
.
So glad you found us, Joe.
Cobalt's bread and butter product were their open bow runabouts for lakes. They did venture into the larger 40'+ yacht category for a time but the market could not support it. 35' is their largest now. Maybe someone here with a 37 footer will chime in.
Any pics of your Formula? Great boats.
And welcome aboard mate.

Re: Cobalt 373 Question
If I were serious about it, I'd probably set up a search, like https://www.boattrader.com/boats/make-cobalt/length-36/ and check it regularly.

Re: Cobalt 373 Question
There are two for sale currently on boat trader and am totally willing to buy a boat from anywhere in the country and have it transported to me if its the right boat for the right money (especially from a freshwater source). I am hoping that someone within a few hour drive from me has one that would potentially let me see it in person before I invest the time and money to fly halfway across the country to only find out it is not on par with my current formula or not laid out in person like the photos. All the photos in the world cant give you a true feeling on the size or layout of a boat without actually stepping foot on it. If it checks the boxes that at I think it will then I will wait for the right one that comes up for sale. I am learning boats are like campers (I used to have a 47' 5th wheel), there is no PERFECT one. Everyone has good things and bad things or things that you would like to see different. The 373 on paper and on photos looks like it has the additional features that my current Formula does not. I thought I would really like the Formula 37PC because on paper it looks good but once on the boat it felt way to tall for my liking and didn't like the multiple level changes in the cockpit area.
