Here are some from Lake Powell last weekend. We had never been there this late in the year. The weather was great.

Beautiful!

We are back down in FL and have had our 23’ Whaler out a few times in the last week. Here one of our little Boston Whaler parked outside the Capri Fish House near Marco Island. It’s about 14 miles south of us and makes for a great lunch spot, the onion rings are fantastic.

Awesome photos! It's great to see how boating differs in other parts of the country. I was just up at Lake of the Woods, mostly the Canadian side, which is dotted with rocky islands and fishermen. Not my photo, but we were here:

There are a lot of fun bars/restaurants on Marco Island and 20 miles north of us on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. I’m shopping for something larger than my 23 foot whaler so I can increase the number of days I can boat each year. The Gulf gets a bit trickier than our MN lake when the winds are up! I’m shopping in that 35’ range so we can actually take it 100 miles south to Key West or even over to the Bahamas on a longer trip.

Maybe this one….

Scout wasn't on my radar until recently, but it's pretty nice compared to the Robalo I have been on before and liked. If you want more of a yacht than a center console quasi-fishing boat, I was on a Tiara in that length range last year that was gorgeous too. Lots of neat options in the mid-30 foot range.

Tiara makes a quality boat and I’ve been on their 34 LX and 38 Ls in the past couple of years. The Grady Whites and Boston Whalers are set up for fishing better than the Tiaras. The slip I currently have at our condo is limited to 36 feet, the 37 and 38 footers with the engines trimmed all the way up stick out too far off the seawall and our condo association is super strict about the length restriction.

The Boston Whaler 350 Realm is 35’6” and checks all the boxes for what I want: overnight capability but also can be used for fishing. I’m doing a sea trial on a 2021 today that is one owner with 295 hours and has all the maintenance records. It’s been stored inside or under a covered lift and It has the Seakeeper gyro and all the other factory options I want. I’m excited that it might be the one that I pull the trigger on. It’s a super capable day/sandbar boat but also is rugged enough to take the 3 hour trek down to someplace like Key West which is 100 miles south of us. It can make the trip in 3 hours or less.

That looks like a great setup. Seakeeper is a nice option, and the boat looks well-equipped. Please do post pictures of some of your boating fun once your shopping is wrapped up!

Some pictures from this week with my new(to me) Whaler. My sister and nephews are visiting us in Naples for a long weekend and we had two super fun days out on the boat: one down to Marco Island on Friday and a run to Sanibel Island today which is 23 miles north of us.
