Boat Bling Products

Post by CobaltR319 »

Has anyone used the Boat Bling products? (Vinyl Sauce, Condition Sauce, Glass Sauce, etc).
If so, what are your thoughts? As good as 303?
West Marine is running some killer deals on this stuff right now.
Thanks!

Lots of folks here love the hot sauce and vinyl sauce in particular, bit I don't have much personal experience with them. I've kept with 303, which is probably in the same realm, largely because it's worked well enough for me for a lot of years that I just haven't been motivated enough to try something different.

The hot sauce is a great quick cleaner / sealer.

Or you can just use vinegar which is the active ingredient in it.

I was told by the person who remade our sunpad NOT to use Vinyl Sauce. I had been using it on our vinyl, and I noticed it was turning green, and asked her why it was doing that and she asked what we had been cleaning it with. We have been using 303 ever since, and the green has disappeared.

On the other hand, we use lots of the Hot Sauce.

It also has a sealer in it that makes it easier to clean, at least my experience.

Isn't that just the protectant? What do you use to clean?

Just water. Our boat is only outside and uncovered for about 75 hours per year at the most.

My experience with the Hotsauce for water spot was awful. It streaked and left swirls like crazy. My boat is black so maybe that's part of it. I talked to Boat Bling and they said "hmmmm never heard of that. Good luck". I don't know if it was the color, a wax I used, or a bad batch, but it will never touch my boat again.

Same here on a navy blue boat. No amount of buffing removed a swirled cloudy result. Likewise, I never figured out why.
