Looks great Driller! Did you put a separate switch on your bow lights? Seems like you can dim those down with your controller, right? Mine (on the 240) are too bright when underway and I can't see.

Another tip... dont go out and park with the blue lights on -for very long. Think about the blue light electric bug zappers. They attract mosquitos and may flies. The other colors don't seem too though? ( still experimenting). Last fall i put my speaker rings on red, yellow or green and it seemed to work a lot better.

It's going to look freakin awesome pulling in or out of the dock or marina at night, and cruising across the lake! Good on ya!

Underwater lights are Shadow Caster SCR -24 multicolor: http://shadow-caster.com/product-detail ... und-light/

I can sync to any colors, have separate colors, or dim zones with the dash mounted controller. Right now set up with 3 zones - Underwater, gunwale, and speaker led rings. I have a 4th available which I may end up using to split the bow, but I was hoping with the selective dimmer I can make it work. I was wanting to use the 4th for the courtesy lights and the swim platform.

I think they did a pretty good job mounting the SIMRAD Chartplotter also.

I'm very excited. Need to see it in person, but from the photos, I'm happy.

My wife hardly ever sets in the co-pilots seat. Claims it is too hot!!. Likes to set back in the lounge while I cruise her around like "Driving Miss Daisy".

That's probably a good thing since I upgraded the amp to 800 watts.

I have to confess that I’m not much of a stereo guy, but here’s what I think they have done. It is an 8 ch x 100 watt. So the 6 x 6-1/2 each are on their own channel with 100 watt max. Then the 10” is combined getting 200 Watts.

But don’t quote me on that.

I’ll know more tomorrow. I don’t need a huge amount of sound. Just want a good clean system.

Do you think I have an issue Bfun220?

I'm installing a 6 channel 600 watt amp running 6 speakers and plan on adding a mono amp if/when I add a sub. So i was just wondering what you were running off the amp.

The guys doing the install are supposed to be the best in the business here in Austin. Highly recommended by the Cobalt dealer and most of the other dealers in town. I told them I wasn't interested in blowing other boats out of the water with my sound system, but I wanted a good crisp system with reasonable bass. What I'm having installed is the result.

I think the amp will allow the last 2 channels to be run to the subwoofer in bridged mode (if that is the correct language) pushing 200 watts to it, but I'll quiz them a little tomorrow when I go over and look at the setup.

Went by to check on my boat. Sure enough I was right about the sound system wiring. 8 ch. all 6-61/2" get there own channel. Then the 10" subwoofer is bridged on 2 channels. This doubles the wattage to the sub.

Sounded really crisp and clean and when wanted the sub was putting out a lot of bass (too much for me).
