Great back story Shawn.
...and the blue color on that hull is very classy. Matches the name and font style so well.

.
Thanks....

Shawn I know you came from another site and we're all super glad you did. I went over there and ran across your story about naming your Motor Yacht and it's way cool.

Most folks know there is a process or ritual to renaming a boat, but have no idea of what it is.

I think you should cut and paste and add it here so these guys can see it with all the great pictures you have. Another member asked me about the ritual so I copied it for him and sent it in an email. Then....

I started to add it here, but it's your story. And it's such an interesting and great read you really ought to share it with all the cool kids at the cool site, now that you're one of us!

The new boat (r3) doesn't have a name. Not sure if it will. I never really thought about naming a boat that was on a trailer.

My last boat (catalina 30) was named Cracklin' Rose. If any of you are familiar with Neil Diamond, there's a line in that song....Cracklin' Rose was a poor man's lady....or something like that. It kind of fit. Plus Dad was huge Neil Diamond fan.

Who knows if this one will get named....

Wifey and I have talked about a Hawaiian name, I think that would be cool. I'll keep Pau Hana on the backburner, I usually have to sleep on things like this for awhile. What usually happens is that I think I like something, then over time I change my mind. Took me 2 years to come up with a personalized plate for my last project truck

That's it!!!

I like it YTMSN

...Wifee likes it too!

U da man.

(I like T's too...you have a hidden talent YTMSN.)
I like that too. Good job.
T's I have no idea what that means. I'm from up nort :-)

Right on YT.😂
All Italian stuff BB.
We embrace all of that stuff at our deli. America loves Italians to make their food. You know, store music is Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett..
Funny, it pisses off the old school thin skinned italians😂
We make a line of fresh half pound "Tuscany recipe" (stuff we thought up) burgers that have quite the fan following around our area.
Without going into much detail, our fresh burger line all have names.
The Godfather. A mix of ground round, Italian sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, spices..The Coreleone is a mix of ground round, hot Cappicola, peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese. Nice bite to that one.. The Luca Brasi. The "Italian" The Balboa. The Bada Bing.
Not to mention the best, cleanest, lean Italian sausage in the world!
The grill will be on duty at the sleepover!
Man that all sounds good. Don't see much of that out here.

That makes 2 of us. I have no idea what I want on my boat.
