Post some close ups of that in action someday. Curious how intuitive it is...functionality...accuracy, etc.
Thanx CF 8-)

I tried it out on our shakedown run, worked good and I had people move around while it was on. I looked into the GPS setup. PP has a matching fit for my boat but I have to upgrade the whole system. That’s a $1000, the new speedo is only $20. I think it will be fine for now.

I recently purchased a 2003 240. Love the boat, looking to install trim tabs. What set did you purchase? Do you have any pictures of the install? Have you been happy with the performance of the tabs?

Hey jkl. Welcome to the CobaltChat forum. So glad you found us!

We installed Bennett Electric Trim Tabs BOLT 612ED on our 263 hull which ran about $600. (dealer prices)

.
We also purchased the BOLT control with indicator which ran us $434.09 (dealer prices) .

.

Since we have a deep vee hull, we use them mainly to balance the boat if too many folks are on one side. They work great and have had no issues.

No pictures of the install as we had the dealer on Lake Meade install them when we purchased the boat.

Any pics of your Cobalt?

Again, welcome aboard mate!

Collegefund, Do you have pics of your trim tabs? Looking to install my own and would like to see pics for mounting reference. Would you recommend the ones you went with?

I did the Lenco electric 12 wide 9 deep. I had no desire to add anything else hydraulic! I have zero issue planing with 8 people and 800 lbs of full ballast with these all the way down! One of the best things I installed on this boat. Only thing you really have to worry about? The speed, these things move fast. If I hold one side button too long while Planing, she will show you her belly. Makes passengers nervous. I can also bury my bow in Lake Powell chop and smooth out my ride enough to run about 30 in 3’ waves!

Thank you very much. That's one thing I'm still shocked is not standard on all cobalts. I will be adding these later this summer.
