Table Rock Lake water clarity

Post by Table Rockin »

For us TR boaters on the forum, I found these articles (2013) discussing a year with really deep water clarity (2013). One of the reasons cited was the cool spring causing fish to hatch later which allows these zooplankton to have more time to eat up the algae.

I guess I bring it up because perhaps we are in for a treat this year with what I would certainly categorize as a "cool" spring. What do you all think? Anyone been down to really inspect the water lately? I cant really say I noticed too much difference when I was down in March.

I would LOVE to see water clarity to the extent of 30'-40' deep. My kids and wife on the other hand, maybe not so much

I thought I read some where at one time they could see 100 feet down.

Now that would be something! Must of been years ago judging from articles.

Thanks for the links TR! That water clarity is amazing. I'm really looking forward to getting my boat in it!

Nice Table! Get some pics this season.. I've heard that lake is awesome! Diver Dick said thumbs up!!

I'm a fan of Beaver lake but it was a flooded April last year that we barley launched.

I would say last year it was only 6' or so bit the early May flood really screwed everything up. Last years flood was bad. Ive heard bull shoals is really clear but ive never been. Never been to beaver either but heard good things.

yeah praying we don't get another rain bomb in may like we did last year. The weather the past 2 days has me itching like a crack addict to get out boating. It is looking to be a little to cold to cruise around saturday. But who knows maybe I will just layer up!

If its 60 degrees or warmer its cruising weather. Lower temps on a case by case basis. Just bring a stocking hat if needed!

I'm really hoping 4/21 is nice enough. I was thinking I might cruise all the way up to Cape Fair Marina area. Never been up that way much past the aunts creek/swings area.

Seriously though, give us a report on water clarity. I'm curious if this cold spring replicates the 2013 scenario.

That's what I was thinking tgrace? If you do just close your bow door and windshield and keep your speed low. It'll be toasty!

Online boating.. there she was.. only 28.. ft.. twin 496.. I was off to Rogers Arkansas to meet her.. had to have her!! After a intimate rendavous I shipped her to California!!

I'm absolutely in awe of the beauty of the area all the way to Georgia! You guys have a great area to live and play.

Plus you have the best selection of Boats 😎

Here is a shot of Beaver Lake.. flooded and murky last April. We missed every log.
