No I just have the engine compartment heater. It just keeps the engine bay around 50 degrees on these cold spring nights. When I test drove the boat it was about 60 degrees in January and I just closed the windshield and the door to the bow and it wasn’t bad. So if it isn’t windy I will take it for a cruise.

If not no big deal. I plan on going down there the next 3 weekends as well because once may hits I’m booked up until Memorial Day

I'm really hoping 4/21 is nice enough. I was thinking I might cruise all the way up to Cape Fair Marina area. Never been up that way much past the aunts creek/swings area.

Seriously though, give us a report on water clarity. I'm curious if this cold spring replicates the 2013 scenario.
So I stood on the blue jet ski ramp on our dock yesterday and I could easily see the bottom. No idea how far down that is but I would say that is easily 8-10ft down

Did they have those jet ski ramps installed earlier this year? Dont recall seeing them. By were the walkway meets the dock?

10' is a good starting point 😁

They are new.

So you have your boat intro Friday? I plan on heading down about lunch time Friday if I can get out of work early. I need to scrub the interior and get the carpet put back in. 😀

Well that sounds like fun! I’m entertaining my wife’s family this weekend so I think Friday afternoon will be my only time to work on the boat. I get my scotch and cigar weekend the first weekend of may. 😎

I may have to head down that weekend as well. This weather sucks! Still holding out hope for saturday but its not looking super promising. I just need ONE nice day sometime very soon so that i can at least give her a long healthy stretch of the legs.....to put a smile on this ugly mug.

I know I am getting rather depressed about this weather. I know we still have a long season ahead of us but I was hoping to get all of april to get use to the new boat before I start inviting guests down. Well If you are on the docks early evening friday I will be the bald guy scrubbing the interior of ole big red

I'll either be there or on the water if weather is nice enough....at this point probably just the dock...and I'll keep an eye out for that bald guy

Well looks like we should get some mid 60s and a little sun on Friday and Saturday before the rain comes in. I'm hoping to get an afternoon cruise in once I get the interior cleaned and my carpet back in on Friday.

I've been watching the weather like I've never watched weather before......kinda feel like I'm turning into my Dad....lol.

I tried to push up my orientation meeting but thats not going to happen. Hell if I get there early enough to take her out I will and then come back for the orientation.

Ah that sucks. I’ll probably be there about the same time as I have meetings here in town until 11.

I've been coming to TR for ~ 32 years and love the spring/summers where you can see the fish take your lures (and then some) :) my dad sent me this pic a couple weeks ago, shell knob area.

well that looks pretty murky. What gives? I know the Shell Knob area is shallower but that looks like last year with the flood.
