He also said its a PITA to get the wire run and that its not completely hallow through the tubing. They sub out all that work through a local company called Chilli's Soundwaves. if this is all true it sounds like to get this I'd be paying for professional installation....which probably puts this at a $1500-$2000 price tag (I'm sure they'll tell me I need a new amp as well to power the tower speakers. If thats the case I think I may defer a year, or 3.
I got the same response from the Harbor about adding speakers to the tower on my boat. So I think that will be either a no for my boat or if I decide to keep it for 5-10 years it will get it.

But IDK I am totally drooling over an A series right now so that might be the route I go lol

$1500-2000 seems absurd to have a few wires run and tower speakers installed, even if it’s a difficult install. I would talk to the stereo installer directly. I just had some stereo work done by the recommended installer in our area (all dealers around sub work to them) the owner couldn’t be nicer or fair. Diagnosed my issue, didn’t upsell on unnecessary work or product and was very honest. Anyway replaced my head unit for Bluetooth, new JL transom speakers, and ran new wire for transom speakers. All in labor and material just under $600.
Tgrace if you get into an A you will absolutely love it.
I’m looking to possibly upgrade to an A28, but haven’t found the upgraded power plant I’m looking for.

well I think we just found the solution here. MTW you find your A28 and sell me your A25! Although I think I would regret not getting a 28 as my current boat is a 27ft and I am sure I would notice that 2ft gone in the front of the bow.

This is all me just window shopping however because I haven't seen my boat in almost 3 weeks. Come Saturday afternoon I will be saying a different story lol.

Just out of Curiosity what power plant would you be looking for MTW? My first 3 boats were mercruisers and my current boat is a Volvo and so far I am pretty sold on the Volvo over Merc. Especially when you start comparing the new 6.0/6.2 Volvo's to the Merc's

I'm sure he's looking for a underpowered one just like all the questions we get asked which engine to get. Lol
We can only say go as big as you can but no one listens.

The speaker wires in my tower are already there but no wires for the led. Yes running them will be plain but it can be done with patients.
With speakers and a amp and labor a grand is easy to hit.

Yes Tr your going ti wasn't to run a separate amp to them.

Done deal tgrace haha Will let you know as soon as I find one.
you probably won't miss that 2' once the hydraulic swim platform lowers down
I'm not partial to Merc or Volvo necessarily, although we have the merc now and its been great. I've seen a few I'm interested in but they have the same 8.2 merc thats in our A25. Again great motor, but with a larger boat I could see needing a bit more power. Our A25 is not underpowered in the least and it plows through even with 10 adults on board. Only "underpowered" moment was the 1 time we maxed out the capacity with 15 people and I had to move a few people around to get her on plane.
Anyway preferably, looking for the 8.2HO 420 hp or the Volvo 6.0 420 hp
FWP I guess haha not pulling the trigger quite yet

the Harbor where I keep my boat has an 18' A28 with the volvo 6.2 430hp. We could make this a simple transaction

Okay Here is what I had to do. My tower was not pre-wired. However the middle tube had pre-drilled holes on both ends. Also I have the folding arch. So I stuck a fish stick in the bottom where the arch tower folds. Then fished a coat hanger thru from the middle tube. About 3 to 5 tries and I had one wired pulled. Then which was pure luck 8-) I pulled the sub-woofer and could see to pull my wires down from the arch and used my fish sticks to pull the wires to the amps. Yes I had to pull four wires one for each for the speakers and two for the lights. I upgraded the sub woofer since I already had the original pulled. I added an amp for the tower speakers and a dedicated amp for the sub. On the head bumping the starboard side speaker is over my storage cabinet some models have a sink installed. The port side is over the seats so unless you allow people to stand in your seats :o all is good.
I think that answers all the questions. I can explain and show all the cc'ers that are going to make it to TR June the 9th! And yes I get a little woody listing to the upgrades!! And OH can't wait to meet you guys on the water or at the Liquid Lounge.

I hope you mean "patience" not "patients". Although you may live near an asylum where they have plenty of the later who are not in pain, just plain.

Big Block Power wrote: Sat Nov 04, 2017 5:38 pm Only took a year and now 6 months before I can try them out. Won't ever use Hill Marine again. Set of F5 props. The F6's lost to many rpms.
Ran the props today. Worked good but don't have numbers yet. It was rough and full tank of gas and 4 adults. She cruised 33 at 3300rpms. Hit 50 no issues at 4500 rpms. It held nice in the turns.
