Yeah, Minnetonka gets pretty packed on weekends, and not everybody knows what they're doing. You definitely see boats going 60-70, but I've seen them get stopped by the sheriff often enough I tend to watch myself. I tend to cruise around 3000-3500 rpm, which is in the mid 30mph range too (saves on gas, a bit easier ride, etc.).

You may already know this, but Lake Minnetonka has a 40mph speed limit on the whole lake, and the Hennepin County Sheriff's department in particular likes to enforce it, so keep an eye out. Looks like a perfect weekend to be out in your new boat!
Oooof, was not aware of this. I read the Mn Boating Guide from cover to cover before getting out to make sure everything was covered. Didn’t realize Lake Mn has its own separate rules. I’ve found them online now though. Looks like I’ll be finding another spot to GPS it.

Right! 5:30 am, captains call on. That is stealth mode - correct?

The spring I got my Cobalt I got pulled over on Minnetonka for excessive wake in a no wake zone. Showed him the big V8 and dual prop and told him that I was idling, and he let me go after checking life jackets. But they are out there and like to make stops.

Daaaang... Nice find TC! Welcome again from Oklahoma and we look forward to seeing more pictures of that badboy!

Now I'm wishing I would have taken that sucker out on Lewisville Lake for a run! Glad it worked out for you.

Welcome from Texas! I know the feeling you had with finding a great low hour boat. I recently bought a 2007 200 with 75 hours. It's like a brand new boat. Enjoy!
