Ok I'm sure I missed it somewhere but how did you get a new 2016 boat this year. Has he been sitting on it that long?
Dealer brought one in at the end of the 2016 season. The 210s had been a popular seller for them and with the model being discontinued, they wanted to have another one to sell. As it turned out the boat crossed the border with the $USD worth 1.42CAD (so really weak $CAD), which made the MSRP of my boat in the low $90's (CAD). By spring 2017, the CAD had improved by almost 15% and you could buy a new 2017 220 for less money than this 2016 210. So, it didn't sell through the season despite some discounting. I saw it for sale on the dealer's website in late January while I was looking for used Cobalts.
The dealer got very aggressive with his pricing and cut the trailer price below cost and I bought it in late February.
My point on the trailer was if the OP just needs something under his boat to sit on and for a sale so he can keep his slip, what does it matter what he buys as long as it is suitable. My trailer is a 2015 and has a few scuffs in it. I bought it without even looking at it. I paid $1,200 for a Sea Doo trailer last year.
PS I'll get my first solo this evening or in the morning.
