Mohegan Sun B-J Auction

Post by Ytmsn »

I went out on the trade floor this morning and sweet looking boat. . Chris Craft is using the same paint scheme as Cobalt. It's a blend of new and old. There is a teak walk-around similar to Nola. The seats are beautiful and it's powered with a 6.2.

Those Chris Crafts look so sharp. Just too impractical with the designs though...unless you just want to go for an afternoon cruise around the lake with a few folks...or to have it as a Yacht tender. 8-)

Exactly. It is pretty, but I thought the same thing. It's just not practical for us either.

It has a lot of teak too. The rear swimdeck is teak along with the walk-around, and the foot pads in front of the bolsters.

love the lines on the boat. like you guys have said not something I would own because it will only haul 6 people comfortably.

Plus that is quite the price tag for a 23ft boat IMO. I'm sure a new R3 is about the same price as that but i believe you get a little more out of the cobalt.

Agreed. Pretty boat. Not the most effective layout.

If I had the scratch for that, the first thing I would do is yank that damn trumpet horn off! Classic look, but ruins the lines IMHO.

Well, they are trying to maintain the classic look. As A7 pointed out, it really doesn't stack up to the practical designs of today. I could sink that boat on any windy day on Lake Erie.
