1997 Cobalt 190 Bimini/Sun Shade

Our buddy that bought the 190 from us is looking for someone to take the OEM Cobalt Bimini/Sun Shade off his hands. Nothing wrong /w it, he just isn't using it. Know its a long shot but I figured I would offer it up if one of our two 190 owners were interested. Let me know.

Why would he not keep it and just let it hang in the garage so when his neighbor buys the boat when he gets the two footies he has it for the boat.

I have a 1998 Cobalt 190 that came with the convertible top which is very low profile and attaches to the windshield, and the bow attaches the top for the side windows on top and pivots. I'm looking for an OEM Bimini Top that will mount exactly like the factory on the existing top side window frame. If you have the actual Bimini Top and not a convertible top I would be interested in purchasing from you. I would prefer the original equipment over the aftermarket which will likely attach on the outside of the window frame on the gunnel.

Hey Wholm - dont think we can help out, what we have is the convertible top, I just did a really bad job of describing it in the for sale post. Sorry.

I can tell you that a buddy of mine bought our old 190 and has added a full bimini. It did require some drilling to mount the back brackets, but he is very happy with it. I can get pics if you want, he bought it from iBoats.

Welcome to the forum, and awesome selection on the boat, best hull cobalt ever made, and extremely tow able by even the smallest SUV.

Ok, thanks everyone for the response I got super excited when I saw the post with the original Bimini for sale, we have the convertible but it's way too hot here in Texas and doesn't let enough air circulate. I have been looking at iBoats, but with all the varied reviews and some people having to send back for improper fit I thought I could just avoid al the fuss when I found this forum. Someone posted Custom Stainless Steel as a source that made some of Cobalt's OEM equipment and I will probably give them a call, though they were not in business in 1998 and could not have been the source at that time. I appreciate all the help and we do love our Cobalt 190, we traveled from Houston, TX to Nashville, TN to purchase it and bring it home because of the excellent shape she appeared to be in. Never had a boat that runs this well for the age and starts up first try every time.

While this is still available its not the bimini top that is for sale...its the sun shade convertible top that snaps on to the top of the windshield.
