I loce the rain in the forecast when it is a 20% chance. In the Midwest that’s a sunny day.
So once I was in Scottsdale for work. I use to be an absolute golf nut before I got into boating. So I stayed at the Marriott right on TPC Scottsdale and saw I could play it in the afternoon for 35 dollars. So I book a tee time and saw the high for the day was going to be 112. Being a Midwesterner I thought ah hell its a dry heat I will be fine. I made it 11 holes before my shirt, shorts, and everything I had on was absolutely drenched. Only reason I finished my round was so I could say I did it. There was about 4 other groups on the course and I made it through in about 2.5hrs

Ive been to vegas when it was 105....have to say i preferred that to the midwestern 95 + humidity. We spent some time at the pool and it was one of these where you get hit and jump in the pool then get out and its kinda chilly cause its so dry.
Ive drove through the AZ desert once in a car with no AC....and remember we were all shirtless windows down sweating our asses off. No idea what temp was then. The car was a 95 model so no temp.
Suck it up t55000000000!

Man, t550 that’s getting close to Persian Gulf temps.
We would see 125 quite a bit while deployed to the Middle East. When we flew our missions, we had no air conditioning in the airplane until airborne. Things got so hot on the ground that we always had to wear gloves in order to touch the controls without getting burned. The back of the plane registered 176 degrees on a meat thermometer!

Re: Remember when it was winter and I was boating and you guys were jealous?
Here in the Big Easy we had rain and thunderstorms for most of June and the first week or 2 of July. That stopped and now our temps are in the high 90s during the day and 80 overnight....AND we still have the humidity. I was standing outside in the shade talking to the neighbor this afternoon and sweat was pouring off of both of us and we weren't even moving. I'm almost glad my boat's in the shop....it's too damn hot to boat. Oh....and my pool that is in shade from about 1:00PM, was at 92 degrees today.

Haha Thunder....
Let me be crystal clear, IMO, nothing is worse that the frozen north in the winter.
It’s been hot, dry, and actually bordering on drought.
When I whine about how hot it is, I quickly remember how plowing snow literally sucks the life out of me, and every year it takes me frightfully closer to a suicidal state of mind.

Thanks for reminding me why I live here Tusc
And yes, I'll take our dry heat over some of you guys that have to deal with the high humidity. No thanks.

What?
Plowing snow is the second best, right after snowmobiling. The only thing that keeps me focused in the heat of summer is the thought of winter.
Although today was a great one on the water. Air temps @ 90F, water @ 76F. That is early for here, soo we'll take it

The biggest issue with plowing snow is leaving a perfectly warm bed at 4:00 am when it’s zero outside, then going back and forth back and forth.

I’m with you with snowmobiling though!

Best part about plowing is peaking out your window at 4 Am and smiling because someone is plowing your driveway. Then you climb back in a warm bed next to your smokebomb wife.Ytmsn wrote: Wed Jul 25, 2018 8:25 amUh, no.
