Yeah...it’s a Motorola ecu that is proprietary only to mercury and s few select vendors for any program and reflash when it’s software.

History vs current codes need to be determined. Like your car with a check engine light. Once it’s gone it becomes history. Then after a few ignition cycles.. it doesn’t exist.

If your dealer can’t find history codes like IAc faults or fuel trim then it’s time to keep going until it’s more consistent.

Remember you have towing ... so enjoy your summer 😎

Hey all, this resulted in a bad ECM. After, several trouble shooting hours, Cobalt sent a test ECM and it solved the second beep issue immediately. A new ECM is on it's way to be installed next week. Fortunately, the dealership I recently bought the boat from is covering this. This second beep was reported when the boat was certified by them right before I bought it. I'm thankful for that.

That's very common for the drive lube to drop some right away. You should be good now if you topped it off.

I added drive lube three times during the first 20 hours - it is standard, and the dealer included a free bottle. Check it with the engine cold, don't over fill it. The manual says "New installations may require as much as 470 mL (16 fl oz) of gear lube added to the monitor bottle during the break‑in period (20 hours of running time). It is important to monitor and maintain the gear lube level during the break‑in period."

The bad thing about this is now you will change it for the off season and then next year you will have to do this all over again. Lol.

Yes. I've still got half a bottle. And I view it as quality time with the boat. And I thought that is was in bad taste on the forum to mention the W word, or any euphemisms thereto, before October. Yo bartender, Jobu needs a refill.
