Interesting day as we found a upside down ski boat that sunk.

Apparently all ok and I didnt see any hits or loose drain plugs?

I did see a awesome Boat plug LED drain plug that was a few screws away from being mine.

But I made an adult decision and just took some wreck shots instead.

That was low tide when I took it at 2. About 8 feet deep.

Last week a ski boat beached.. backed up and popped the middle fin off the boat.

We were towing in at the time where the Coast guard guided him in full steam to the dock . I know where’s that pic.lol

Ski boat God’s are angry.. Maybe it’s the awful music

Proud of you for not going after that light Matt. Surprised you didn't just wrap a rope around her and tow it in like you did that Fountain. :D

Would love to hear the back story on why she sank.

News flash as my Niehbor knows the Owner.

Well the back story is the boat was simply being towed to the gas dock. ( out of fuel )

Yes ..a young man who was only a half mile from his destination .

But a large cruiser coming down behind him pushing water like a maniac never slowed. The boat got swamped beyond bilge pump and rolled over .

They are pursing the driver of the cruiser as salvage and haz waste fines are going to be big $$. Apparently not fully covered by his insurance limits.

Stuff we take for granted right?

And to think people on our lake b*tch about the wake board boats and the big wake they create. Not in this situation... That sucks watching your boat go down and nothing you can do about it.

Jeesh. And I gripe about a bowrider coming through a no wake zone too fast. If a cruiser did that to me and sunk my boat I would probably end up losing my good citizens award for 2 to 3... If I had one. That would take road rage to a whole 'nother level. That really sucks. I hope he gets it worked out.

Houseboat answer (from my Sept. 6 post): The houseboat is memorable because it was in the Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movie “Sleepless in Seattle”. It’s the largest houseboat on Lake Union (with four bedrooms and two bathrooms).

Yep same thing here. I’ve almost had water come over the engine hatch on my boat before from tug boats pulling surfers to close to me. Makes my blood boil.
