Re: Group Buy - Aquamarine Deck Pad

Post by Bfun220 »

Finally got my replacement pieces for my aquamarine deck. Now all I have to do is get them to correct the bill. They charged me more than I had authorized. Hopefully this can get done without me bringing in outside resources.

I'll get a better picture, but this is after install.

They put the cobalt logo on it for you?

The logo looks slightly different than Ytmsn's pad. They didnt cut out the wreath area around the "C". I wonder if that has anything to do with the lack of logo release.

I asked them not to cut out that area. The first piece they cut wrong and had that area cutout.

Hi all, Hope I am not banished from group as no posting all summer long. Logged back on to see if anyone had used Aquamarine flooring and as usual the group had a ton of useful information. Always impressed with how knowledgeable everyone is. Anyway, have an order in to Aquamarine to do full boat (Cobalt 282) including swim platform in faux teak with black accent. Question is on aesthetics. Thinking of using Cobalt name on swim platform (as pictured previously in thread) then the logo centered on ski locker. Or better to do logos in both places? Any input would be appreciated. I am having a marina do install btw. Thanks!

That's totally a personal preference. I'm going to do logos in both spots. Still debating on doing the cockpit.

Has anyone purchased lately? I just ordered the template kit yesterday. My plan was to make an order during the winter so it's ready when I take the boat out of hibernation in the spring. Just replacing my swim platform (my factory one is pulling up in places).

Unless you want to be on your hands and knees with a scrub brush I would look into something snap in. The aqua marine mat looks fantastic when it’s clean. But it is hard to keep clean. I’m constantly scrubbing foot prints off my swim platform. Where my sea grass carpet. Just remove and spray off with a hose and it’s as good as new.

Seriously? You're going to have to stop walking through those greasy kitchens for burgers and fries Tim! Didn't you go with gray or a dark color on your red boat? I bet that's why it shows footprints.

Actually I'm really happy with mine. It gets nasty if I leave it exposed to the elements all the time by just using my snap covers, but just for a weekend it's no big deal at all.. Spider poop and bird droppings are the worst so occasionally I'll use a long handle stiff bristle brush and it comes right off. I never have a problem with foot prints, but then I never allow shoes on the boat, and my mooring cover includes the extended swim deck so when I use it I don't have any problems with birds or spiders...

Same YT! We don't have the issue with foot prints on the Terra color... I think Tgrace and BB have the grey it shows more of the footprints.
