Lake Tenkiller Tornados
Ok Yt called me he's all good where he is. Just some minor damage and big trees are down on his property. But he was like 300 yards away from the direct hit. He said it traveled like 65 miles on the ground. As you read and look at pictures from the Tulsa news. He asked me to post some pictures as he's busy cutting wood.

Re: Lake Tenkiller Tornados
Wow what a weekend. Thanks for starting the thread posting pictures BB. We had no power and I had to charge my phone in the truck so didn't post much.
We got off with minimal damage and big trees to chop up and haul away. Some folks down the lake were not so lucky and lost everything.
I've lived here all my life but never have had firsthand experience with a tornado strike. I've seen the aftermath of a lots of them and help with the cleanup efforts several times. But never at my own place!
Snake creek marina was hardest hit. Lots of folks lost everything...

Those pictures are horrifying YT. I’m so glad you made it out of it with just some tree damage.
There was some storm damage at table rock from that same front. But nothing like the pictures you posted.

Here are some more pics. See this frame? Friday this was a camper a traveling contractor was living in. He had his two young sons with him when the storm hit. He said he didn't know what to do so he put his boys in the camper under the bed that lifts up and climbed in on top of them. That is the worst place you can be is in a camper or car. They always tell you to get out and get into a low place. It's the swirling debris that will kill you, but I always figured if your laying in a ditch it could suck you up too?
Anyway, the storm picked this thing up and dumped them out (it probably came apart pretty quickly) then wrapped around a tree. This is all that's left. All three survived without a scratch except for a splinter of wood in one of the boys ears. An amazing Miracle. God has plans for these 3! Many times in my life I've been in the path of a tornado. Never my property, but with me sitting in a vehicle. I always have just moved over east or west and it goes right by. Not condoning playing tornado chicken, but I'd rather take my chances in the truck or car by getting the hell out of the way.
Another Miracle is that it was off season. This storm caused very few injuries and no deaths. Had it been during the season ...
This is a row of sycamore trees that used to be huge and beautiful along this bank with 5th wheel campers and diesel pusher motorhomes backed in and packed all the way around. This is part of the Corp of Engineers park adjacent to ours called Elk Creek Landing and a very popular place. But only the one guy with his sons were there. This was a direct hit about 300 yards to our west, and the same storm that wiped out Snake Creek Marina. They're saying it was an F2/F3 with wind speeds up to 157 mph. Sooo glad it was off season!

Wow. I'm always amazed at the destructive powers of nature, YT. Hopefully most of the folks had insurance. Those pics are heartbreaking. I'm just staring at that camper axle picture you posted and still can't believe a dad and sons lived in that at one time. Miracle is right. Grateful no one was seriously injured. So relieved you are ok as well. Peculiar name for that lake. This round it can be temporarily called lake zerokiller. Whew.

Wow, glad you're okay, that WAY too close for my comfort. We had a micro-burst hit a few hundred yards fro our house and rip the roof off a building a couple miles away and even that made me feel pretty insignificant and vulnerable...

Thanks guys. Ya know, we all have some vulnerability it seems. Whether its tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, massive snow, extreme cold or heat, fires or flooding.
But what is way cool is how everyone comes together to help when something like this happens. From all walks of life, from every background, no matter how diverse, everyone becomes United. Even if just for a short while, it still warms my heart
