I’m sure you know, It’s more of an acquired taste in musical art. Definitely can test out all parts of a sound system using Tool music, especially Jambi from 10,000 Days. That will find the weak spots. 🤣 Try “Reflection” from Lateralus to really test every level of any sound system. 🤯
T or TR, do I have a pic of your transom speakers set up?

I don’t have pics AJ, but it’s the usual Cobalt set up.
The one thing I did notice is that the speakers on the R7 sit a couple inches higher off of the swim deck, where the R3-R5 sit directly on top of it. The R7 must have a higher freeboard.

The one thing I did notice is that the speakersI am trying to decide between kicker and JL. Rest of my boat is kicker and they good
Also if I should get led or a led boat plug on the R7 sit a couple inches higher off of the swim deck, where the R3-R5 sit directly on top of it. The R7 must have a higher freeboard.

All great songs and yeah they're music certainly has its complexities. Wish theyd come out with another album already.

AJ I posted a pic of my transom back in the boat naming thread. Should be towards the end. But its pretty much like tusc pics.

TR, what did you use to remove the rear emblems for your name? Blow dryer?

I like the placement of the name! I told them to move the R7 emblem on mine over to where the filler cushion goes.

No idea. The original owner had a name there already so he dealt with it. I paid someone to do mine. It was cheap.

Just use a really sharp razor blade. It might remove some gel but the emblem will come off. Lol
T just do it. It's easy a little heat and love and it's off.

tarachanowicz wrote: Sun Oct 15, 2017 9:29 am Just curious
Did anyone get the premium audio upgrade with transom speakers the rockford fosgate. I added and dealer installed, it was like 1800.00. I noticed they put sony speakers in the transom, and did not use marine amps just the standard fosgate ones. I questioned them and they said it was what cobalt says is the option. Kind of hard to believe sony speakers with all other audio fosgate. And non marine amps. Anyone know if that's a load of b.s. I priced the amps and just rear speakers and I can get the amps and speakers for 320.00. I know they change out the head unit and 3 other sets of speakers and kept all the original components. I think I got taken
Tara What year is your boat? I can't believe that Cobalt didn't use Marine Amps? Did the dealer install or did the Cobalt factory? That maybe a clue?

I personally think you could add a professionally installed better system then what the factory offers. That way you pick the components and match them up.
BBP I agree when I went to upgrade had to fish larger gauge wire. Cobalt holds your feet to the fire on the upgrade thought with the extra speakers already mounted and wired even though the wire isn't large enough. I'll bet Malibu will change this?

Not happy with my sub.
Will most likely change out the sony speakers in the spring.
Possible tower speakers.
A7 if you upgrade I love my JL M10 SG subs and M880 ETX with neons light upgrade for the towers!

I may look to switch out the transom speakers over the winter. The Sonys don't project out very well. I am also a little underwhelmed by the JL sub on the premium package.
BClark When I upgraded I was surprised when I pulled my JL sub and found one of JL's cheapest subs. I also purchased the premium package.
