Re: February Pics
Ice fishing up at the lake for a boys Super Bowl weekend. My buddies from California had never driven on or fished on the ice before so it was a whole new experience for them. We only caught a two fish but lots of laughs and a great place to have a few beers and enjoy the relatively warm(29 degree) day.

Re: February Pics
I’m lucky that my next door neighbor at the lake is a full time resident and has all the toys including the ice house that you see in the pics. He just bought it last fall slightly used for only $12k. They leave it on the lake all winter and it’s complete with generator, heat, stereo, and TV. They had moved it to the north end of the lake 14 miles from our house so with the recent snow and me not owning snowmobiles yet, we had to drive by road and enter the ice at a boat landing about a mile from the ice house. There was enough traffic on that part of the lake where I was able to drive the Range Rover almost all the way to the ice house. The all-season road tires that came with the Rover weren’t exactly ideal for the big snowpack but I only got stuck once and my 4 buddies pushing were enough to get us un-stuck in just a minute or two.Driller wrote: Mon Feb 04, 2019 6:34 pmThat's really roughing it!!! The good news is the big early snows storms have acted as an insulator and kept the ice- thickness at about 15 inches, below normal for this time of year. That should mean an earlier than normal ice out date and getting the dock and R5 in the water earlier.
