First Day Out 2019

We took our 252 out of storage a few weeks ago for a complete stereo upgrade, and then it went to the detailer. We've been very busy this Spring, but Saturday we brought the boat home and did some upgrades. We switched out the tow chains on the trailer to cables, fixed the breakaway cable on the trailer, installed a new steering wheel, and just some overall maintenance. We were listening to our new stereo in the driveway the whole time, and it dawned on us that it was actually really nice out. So we rolled to get 30 gallons of 91 octane (no alcohol) fuel, and ran to a close(r) lake to break her out of winterization. The new stereo sounds even better on the water if that is possible. Unfortunately nothing I do will make it sound as good on a recording. Here is some of how the day went:

Here is a video I took of the radio playing (just an FM station) so I could record with my phone. The only thing I forgot to show was the amps mounted in the head compartment.

My fiancé's son, Josh, getting to drive for the first time. From his reaction I'd say he liked it. After about two minutes he told me he had it under control and I could "go sit in the back".

We are doing everything we can to try and get over for that. In addition to my "regular" job I run a fence business so this is obviously a busy time of year for us, but we are going to try and make it for that. Give me the particulars again if you know them. When, where etc.

Oh man, those pics made my day shrfdeputy. Enjoyed seeing the looks on everyone's faces too...especially josh driving in that last video.

Btw, if you want the video to show up in the thread, you only need to copy the last combo of letters and numbers shown in the YouTube address bar and then paste them between the [youtube][/youtube] brackets (for instance QOouyrk0xlM ) . I edited your thread for ya so the videos show up without having to leave the site.

I appreciate you fixing it..again. I'll get the hang of it. Josh was a hoot. He's missed the lake as much as we have. He was pretty mad when he found out the water was 65 degrees.

It is June 7th-9th. And we haven't worked out all the details as of yet. But I envision one day we would cruise over to Shell Knob. Then the other day would be over by the Dam area. I have a place on Indian Point and I believe YT has booked a place and a slip on Indian point as well. There is a thread in the general section.
