Well, I almost bought a set of Lumitec spectrum2 lights, but just never did..probably because I just can’t drill into my transom yet., too new.. give me a couple more years🤣.. I tried a set of boatpluglights this spring, but the bilge plug is so low on the R series, the lights when mounted were actually dragging an inch below the hull. Not good..

Anyway, BPL came out with a new mount that looks like it will fit the bill perfectly. 25% off this weekend.

So, does anyone know what electrical connection part from Cobalt I’ll need for plug and play? I’m assuming it can be hooked up to the existing wiring in the motor box.

Yea that Doesn't look bad. On my 200 I ran it to my stern light.

The stern light would work perfectly. But, my stern light wiring comes out on the side of the boat where the bimini is mounted. The light is on top of the bimini. I'm assuming there has to be a pig tail in the motor box that runs directly to the dash switch for underwater lights. Everything seems to be wired to accept all of the potential options. I just have to find the right pig tail and see if I can get the right (male or female) end to the dash switch. If not, I'll just cut the Cobalt style end off and wire it up.

Yea there should be a connector in the engine bay. You can buy and make a molex connector for it no prob. I think I even have terminals if I want to do it again. You can even convert that harness to a nice weather proof Packard connectors. That's the easy part.

I'm going hunting for the pigtail when I get some time..

The unit itself should mount almost tight to the transom, and out of the way of water rushing under the hull. The only issue may be the little weep hole that is suppose to drain the bilge. One chunk of Doritos from YT, and it'll plug up. :lol:
But it looks like the whole thing should easily spin out anyway....and no drilling into the transom.. :D
Oh well, chalk it up to another option I should have factory ordered.

Tusc you should look at ordering the remote when you order the unit. I have no idea how mine is wired, I just had the stereo shop do it when they changed out the head unit. (My wiring usually causes fires)

With the remote you can not only turn it off and on but change the colors as well.

And I dont eat Doritos. I has CHEETOS. The hard crunchy kind with the yellah (staining) chalk flavoring!

You will have to make the harness. You won't find one that ties into the factory harness.

I just ordered the straight blue. The RGB style didn't cost a cent more, but I thought I would keep it simple. My interiors are straight blue, the boat is straight blue, trailer is blue, it's winter and I'm feeling blue.. :lol: My current truck is red, but lets forget about that one.. :?
I might be wrong, but I would assume with a straight color, all of the LEDs are blue, instead of 1/3.

I'm looking to keep it simple and hook directly to either the AUX switch or to the underwater lights switch. Both are on the dash. There has to be one of the switch wires available in the motor box. I remember a few wires with connectors without anything connected to them, hanging in there somewhere.

Another trip to the boat... For garage boating. The stereo is finally complete. Tower speakers are up and the steering wheel is upgraded.

A special shout-out to BBP for the helpful tip to get the old wheel off. It was a BEEEE-OTCH! Was literally a #teamNauti effort!

Did the CobaltChat mandatory Gussi steering wheel upgrade this past weekend. Also checked some things for the seagrass carpet mats I'm having made. Those will be done this week.

Think the Gussi wheel was a good upgrade as the old wheel was looking a little rough around the edges on the woodgrain. Will look nice with the new seagrass mats and seadek on the swim platform this year.

Nice upgrade. I've never seen that other wheel before. Maybe someone changed that earlier in its life?

The top wheel was on my 2016 210. I think that is the newer wheel?

I have the one on top on my 2018 CS22 so I think it's the newer one.
