BBP it’s a 91 or higher tune, no more regular.
cmattj wrote: Sun May 19, 2019 8:57 am Good to hear! Yeah too many blades ( 7 ) on the deep running bravo 3 is what’s holding her back. I’m with you on labbing and taking cup out of the tip. Be nice to find a duplicate used set to cut the blade diameter down and lab those 😎
I’m glad she’s running good though.
6 blades not 7, it’s a 3x3 set, not 4x3. I’m calling my prop guy tomorrow to see what he thinks about taking the cupping out a labbing them to get some more rpms. I’ll report back what he advises.

While I would love a blue motor, prop work is more in my budget. Y'all can keep your Volvo's!

Talked to my prop guy today. He said the cupping he put on the props is what’s preventing me from getting the extra 300rpm the new tune opens up. After the holiday I’m dropping the props off to have the cupping removed, he says this should get me the 300 rpm I need. Only charging me $50 so long as there’s no damage to fix. Planning on dropping it off next Tuesday, should be a 1 day turn around.

Sounds perfect. I don’t think your gonna loose any cruise speed bite considering you got a bazillion blades back there 🤣. Cmon 64!

haha, he did a great job considering I picked up 2mph on the stock tune. I don't think he caught when I said the new tune would raise my redline, so now I need to reduce the bite to get it to spin faster. It pulls so hard in the mid-range I doubt I'll notice the lack of cup now, hopefully I pick up the RPMs because he said there isn't anything else he can do on B3 props to add RPM. I guess if this doesn't work I'll need to start watching for a B1 lower to try out, lol. Mrs. akor is going to kill me.

Considering half our time on the Chain is no wake zones I might be better off spending that kind of money on a blower. Either way Mrs. akor is going to kill me, but at least I’ll go smiling! 😂
