Hi from NW Arkansas

Post by Howl Yes 242 »

We keep our 2013 242 on Beaver Lake. We bought in this past March. It only had 42hrs on it. It’s got the Volvo 380 and will RUN!

Has anyone mounted a chart plotter in the hole on the right side of the dash? Pictures?

Hey HY242. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

That’s a great picture. Beautiful colors too. That 380 will treat you well. Maybe an engine pic is in order. :D

Enjoy the drop down swim platform...although don’t forget to bring it up before getting underway. 8-)

Again welcome aboard mate!

Welcome from further on down the stream at Table Rock! Great looking 242. You should bring it over to the Regatta next month.

Welcome from Texas. Awesome looking boat. Do you by chance have any pictures of the inside?

Welcome from Oklahoma!

Yes, a few have mounted in that location. Do a search and you'll find several posts and pictures, but the general consensus is... it is not an ideal location to navigate from because you cant see it very easily. Now, if you fabbed a wedge to go behind it and kicked the screen angle up more?

Hmmm...

The power is incredible. I’ve hit 54 on the gps without trimming it out. I have run into a couple issues. The steering actuator is starting to leak and now the trim cover is leaking. It sat a whole year on the trailer inside an airplane hanger before I got it. All was well during mechanical review and check ride. We love the boat and look forward to having it a long time.
