I was just saying to BB, we joke, but I honestly hate this sh*t.
So incredibly irresponsible. Make good choices friends.
Thanks TG for posting the link. A7 I’d say take it down but maybe leave it up for people to see.
Idk. I trust your judgment A7.

When I saw this I just thought -
Hope nobody died.
And then, how ? I don't get how this happens.

I think we should leave it up Liquid. Brings awareness to the responsibility we have as drivers as well as the consequences if something goes wrong...even if it’s driving responsibly or negligent.

Re: Stay Safe Out There!
I read he had a heart attack and fell forward onto the throttles, was air lifted in critical condition, now stable. As said, passenger was unhurt. Sometimes you can do everything right and bad things still happen, stay safe out there.

Re: Stay Safe Out There!
I absolutely agree with leaving it up, just to show how quickly and how far south a situation can go in an instant. It doesn't have matter if you're driving a boat, car or flying an airplane, a crash is going to happen if the operator has a heart attack.
If the female passenger had the presence of mind to turn off the keys as soon as the driver went down this could have been avoided, but I know that is a big if.
I turned the key off on a hot rod years ago when I was a passenger and the driver had the throttle stick wide open on him when he floored it on a busy main street. We shot through a stoplight and he was "locked up" with both hands on the wheel and paralyzed into inaction. I reached over and shut it off, and we coasted to the curb.. No injuries or accident. Fortunately we had a Guardian Angle riding with us!
Did you guys see the video of the removal? Hillbilly ingenuity...

Re: Stay Safe Out There!
That kind of stuff can happen anywhere, and to anyone.
It can happen so fast that only fate can intervene. There is so little we can control.
One of my very close friends was an owner operator. Awesome guy and we were pretty close throughout the years. He would give you the shirt off of his back, but worked too hard, and finally ended with a heart attack behind the wheel. Luckily, his wife was with him and steered the truck into an open field. Definitely saved lives because they were headed straight for and zeroed in on a rather large gas station convenience store.
Lee died right in the seat, before the accident. She said he was slumped going down the road at 30 mph. I got the word while I was in DC visiting my daughter. His grandson is a meat cutter for us and he was the one who called. I was driving with my family, and had to pull over and sit for about 15 minutes.
We can only hope that it doesn’t ever happen to us, or the guy driving across from us.
Life is short, and I’m headed out on the water..
