Red, White, and Blue 282

Post by Patriot 8713 »

So I finally got around to adding the red stripe and flag this week just in time for the 4th!

I have had a lot of compliments on the stripe, but I am sure there are some that will say it looked better before and that I should have left the classic boot stripe alone. Let me have it! lol

It makes all of the colors pop now. I might have went below the boot stripe or right next to it with no gap. Different is good though.

Wow! Not what I imagined. It modernized it as the thin red stripe looks well thought out!
Awesome!

Thanks. It looks even better in person.
Right after I took the pictures, the wind picked up due to a pop up storm and before we could swim to the boat...it broke 3 arms of the umbrella. I was able to put metal brackets where it broke and got it back into working condition. I will put the same brackets on the other arms, since that seems to be the weak spot. Never a dull moment when you own a boat!

We were able to put over 150 miles on it in the last week, so it's worth every penny and headache.

That stripe looks awesome! Is it paint or tape? I did a similar stripe on my last boat with paint.

I saw that last pic in another thread and thought to myself how cool the stripe looks and how it really makes it pop! Definitely sets you apart from the crowd.

It is a vinyl stripe from hullstripes.com. It was pretty easy to put on and is supposed to be 10 year marine vinyl.

Well that's cool. A stripe. I tried cheap tape in chrome and it lasted half a trip out. Yes spend the cash and get good tape. 3m or better if there is any?
