DJ- back on the water today. We have been doing what you have suggested, but option for Compass doesn’t come up as one of the MANY headings. This is probably any easy find, right in front of us but...
May not have brought enough beverages for today’s aggravation.

So much to learn with this glass cockpit. It could take hours - and, it seems while you are learning (with the ignition in the "on" position), the engine hour meter is running at the same time. I wish it would also work in the accessory position.
Wow, that sucks - I was counting on tinkering in ACC mode. I wonder if the newer EVC engines are smarter about the hour meter only running when the engine is actually running?

Probably not. I got my boat direct from factory to dealer to lake. The daeler said they "ran the engine up" as part of the PDI, but that would have been with a test hose. I've had the boat out for maybe 2 hours total engine run time (in my hands) and the meter shows 4.4 hours. I didn't look at it the first time it was put in the water though. I'm told the dealer can get a report by plugging their computer into the ECM module on the boat for a true engine hour reading.

My engine hours only climb while the engine is running. If yours is climbing when the key is in on but engine is off check for a different hours indicator.

Or if you know your going to play with it for a few hours just reach behind it and unplug it.

I’ll pay attention to the engine hours while I’m fiddling this afternoon.

Do you have a engine hour meter back by the engine or is it all built into the glass dash readouts? I'm old school.
It’s built into the glass cockpit although I think you can get the info from the display near the armrest. I stand corrected though, the hour meter does not run in the ignition mode, just when the engine is actually running. It doesn’t light up when you turn the key to the left though.

I notice you have the rudder angle indicator. My boat is equipped with that sensor as well. I added it to my right side display this afternoon but it doesn't seem to be entered when my outdrive is centred. Do you know if there is a way to calibrate it?

When I do my right side display it is numbers, can't remember the exact abbreviation but it was numbers port side then numbers starboard side. 0 was centered, I haven't had to calibrate mine.
