What's this cover for?

Hi everyone,

Just curious. Wondering what this little valve cover is for on our R5 (red arrow pointing to it)? It looks like it has a hex-key so you can take it off, just haven't gotten around to exploring what it is yet.

Hey Cobaltfan-
That is the vent for gas tank. When fueling up, walk around and you will feel it venting. We are still learning on our new R5.

Does the mooring cover cover the fuel vent?if so wonder if fueling with the mooring cover on is bad...

Yes that would be bad. It will at time spit fuel all over the cover then. Good catch

Here’s the only pic I have of our boat with the cover on. Day we picked up at dealer. The fuel tank side has a zippered opener for fueling up.
